BNUZ Successfully Held Entrepreneurial Student Seminar

At 7:00 pm, April 23rd, 2012, BNUZ Entrepreneurial Students Seminar was successfully held at A112, No.1 Jinghua Building. Participants include Prof. Guangju Chen, President of BNUZ, Prof. Zhongkui Wu, Vice President of BNUZ, Mr. Zhiqiang Zhou, Head of Academic Division, Mr.Weiguo Yan, Director of Student Career Center, former entrepreneurial student representatives Mr. Kaibiao Lai, Mr. Jinlong Li, Ms. Wan Zhong as well as representatives of current entrepreneurial students etc. Over 50 participants shared their views in students going business and entrepreneurship development at BNUZ.

Prof. Guangju Chen said society practice is equally important to academic education at university. If a university student goes into business, he/she should develop creative consciousness and improve business skills. The opportunity is always left to those who are prepared. Students shall go out and communicate with various groups.

Prof. Zhongkui Wu shared his point of view from the perspective of university educational reform and teaching innovation. Personalized curriculum in the university teaching system enables our students to choose courses based on their interests. He said the competition in career market is fierce; students should strive to enhance their overall competitiveness.

Mr. Kaibiao Lai, BNUZ graduate in year 2008, the first student to start a store in BNUZ campus, shared his entrepreneurial experience. He said: "when students go into business, it is important to go out of campus and get to know the market environment, broaden their horizons, study market trends, learn how to calculate the cost of inputs and outputs, not only investing the money recklessly. Ms. Wan Zhong said to start a business is a difficult process. Entrepreneurs must have the wisdom and learn to seize the opportunity. Moreover, they should have integrity and learn how to thank and give. Mr. Jinlong Li expressed his opinion that study should go first and use alumni, school and social resources wisely to create an elite team.

The seminar lasted for two and a half hours, and great feedbacks were received from students.
