On May 2^nd, 2012, Dr. Eileen Ely, President of GRCC, Mr. Ross Jennings, Associate Vice President - International Programs, GRCC, Mr. Tom Campbell, Chair of GRCC Board of Trustees, and Mr. Pete Lewis, Mayor of Auburn and GRCC Trustee as well as Mrs. Lewis visited BNUZ. Prof. Guangju Chen, President of BNUZ, Prof. Meilin Zhu, Head of Administration Division, Prof. Wanglu Peng, Dean of School of Information Technology, Prof. Yiping Li, Dean of International Business Faculty, Prof. Xuesi Wang, Vice Dean of School of Franchise Management and other faculty received GRCC and City of Auburn delegation.

During the meeting with GRCC delegation, Prof. Guangju Chen affirmed the fruitful long-term cooperation between both institutions and expressed the hope that the bilateral cooperation can scale to a new height. Representatives from both institutions discussed GRCC US Top 100 Schools Guaranteed Admission Transfer program. Under this framework, students in International Programs of BNUZ will be able to gain greater chance to transfer to US top universities.

GRCC delegation also toured around BNUZ campus and visited four national-level laboratories of BNUZ with great interest accompany by Prof. Kai Chen, faculty from School of Engineering Technology. The delegation had a great impression about BNUZ’s campus scenery as well as the teaching facilities.

Introduction to Green River Community College (GRCC):

GRCC is an American two-year public community college founded in 1964. Located in Washington State, it only takes 40 minutes to Seattle by driving. GRCC has three campuses. The beautiful forests, great study environment, excellent faculty as well as reasonable tuition make GRCC the well-known educational institution in Seattle surroundings.

GRCC and BNUZ have started 1+1+2 cooperative mode since 2005. Students participating in this program would study at BNUZ in year 1 and study at GRCC in year 2. Through this program, most students get admission into universities ranking top 100 in the world.
