Ms. Junfang Kang, a teacher from School of Arts & Communication, showed her excellent artistic skills and professions with her dancing “Palace”, and won the first prize in Silicon Valley International Arts Competition (SVIAC).
SVIAC, starts from the year of 2005, is an international professional arts competition aiming at promoting cultural exchange between China and the US and selecting outstanding artistic talents. This year, SVIAC was held during July 27th – 29th in the Silicon Valley area of California, involved piano, folk instrument, vocal, Chinese dancing, ballet, and modern dancing sections, and the assessment committee was composed by renowned artists, experts and scholars from China and the US.
The awarded dancing “Palace” was perfectly interpreted by Ms. Junfang Kang during the Chinese dancing section in the afternoon of July 29th. She performed like a “little fairy”, melting the music and her moving together, winning warm applauses, and even standing screaming from the audiences.
