On April 27, 2013, Mr. ZHANG Wenkang, vice president of China Welfare Institute, former minister of Ministry of Education, accompanied by Ms. GUAN Jianhua, Deputy Secretary-General of Shanghai Soong Ching Ling Foundation, and Mr. QI Ping, Deputy Inspector of General Office of the Ministry of Health, visited BNUZ. Mr. CHEN Guangju, president of BNUZ, Mr. TANG Wei, party secretary of BNUZ received the guests at International Center and held extensive and in-depth talks regarding the development of BNUZ Soong Ching Ling Education Center on Philanthropy.

Mr. ZHANG Wenkang also intended to get knowledge about construction of BNUZ’s major-----Charity Professional Management. During his two and a half talks with students who are in this major, he delivered his thoughts on charity: the power of charity is to protect the social justice. By thinking and acting kindly, people can have an open affectionate heart. Students also expressed their reasons to choose this major and their career plans. At the end of this meeting, Mr. WU Zhongkui, vice president of BNUZ and vice director-general of BNUZ Soong Ching Ling Education Center on Philanthropy extended heartfelt thanks for Mr. ZHANG Wenkang and delivered a closing speech. After the meeting, Mr. ZHANG Wenkang took pictures with the students.
