From May 18th to 19th, the 3rd Guangdong Championship of Student Association in Universities was held in Guangzhou Sport University. 13 teams including BNUZ, Sun Yat-Sen University Guangzhou and Zhuhai campus participated in the competition. This year’s competition of more than 200 people and 468 times of game has broken the records.

BNUZ Taekwondo Association, as one of the representatives of Zhuhai teams, won the first prize of Male Lightweight Group, the first prize of Male Heavyweight Group, the second prize of Female Junior Poomsae, the second prize of Male Senior Poomsae, the third prize of Junior Group Poomsae, the third prize of Taekwondo Dancing, the Outstanding Team, and the second highest score of group. With 6 gold, 2 silver and 11 bronze medals, BNUZ team achieved its best results in joining the provincial competitions.

The great success that BNUZ Taekwondo Association achieved has received reorganization and congratulations from teacher Guo Zhongmin, the regimental commander of world Taekwondo demonstration mission Guandong division, teacher He Junde, the deputy secretary of Zhuhai Taekwondo association, and BNUZ Youth League.

In receiving the invitation of Guandong Taekwondo Association and confirming to participate, BNUZ team had made great efforts to prepare and coordinate the works. During this process, even some participants suffered from injuries and pains, the team tried their best to be professional in participating in the competition. At the same time, other service staff offered thoughtful preparation for the competition. The success of BNUZ team was the result of joint efforts from the university.
