On the morning of June 19th, the University of Gävle delegation visited BNUZ, including Associate Prof. Nader Ahmadi, Head of Faculty of Health and Occupational Studies and Prof. Zhao Ming from Faculty of Engineering and Sustainable Development, along with officials from Foreign Affairs Office of Zhuhai—Mr.Zhao Xuejun, the Deputy Director; Mr Li Ping, Deputy Consultant and Ms Shen Man. Prof. Zhu Meilin, Head of Administration Department, Associate Prof. Deng Xiaoyu, Associate Dean of School of Logistics, Associate Prof. Hu Xuemei, Associate Dean of School of Government and Law with Mr Zhiwei Yang from the school and Dr Gan Chunyan, Director of Office of International Affairs received the guests at the fourth meeting room at International Center.

Mr. Zhao Xuejun, the Deputy Director of Foreign Affairs Office of Zhuhai firstly introduced the cooperation background and expressed his sincere hope for more cooperation between universities in Zhuhai and the University of Gävle as Zhuhai is the sister city of Gävle, Sweden. Prof. Zhu Meilin also extended her warm welcome to the delegation and introduced BNUZ’s faculty to them. Then Associate Prof. Nader Ahmadi reviewed the cooperation of the two universities while giving brief introduction about the development of the university’s partnership with institutions in Zhuhai and other regions of China. He claimed that it would be a good chance to take advantages from each other with cooperation in Logistics, Social Work and other relevant fields.

After that, the two sides discussed on specific programs and made progresses in the models and conduction of programs in relevant fields such as Logistics and Social Work.

The delegation also visited the campus and they all praised the nice environment and teaching facilities.

Introduction to the University of Gävle:

The University of Gävle locates in Gävle, Sweden. The city of Gävle has a population of about ten thousand, with GDP researches more that 600 million euros. The university was founded in 1977, and is a state agency. The university recently reorganized its structure and was divided into three big faculties, each of which covers a wide range of majors. And the three faculties are: Faculty of Health and Occupational Studies, Faculty of Engineering and Sustainable Development, and Faculty of Education and Business Studies.
