On June 16th, 2013, the final of the Sixth “Zhixing Cup” Case Analysis Competition, hosted by the School of Management, was held in Room A112, Liyun Building. There are seven teams taking part in the competition and amongst the distinguished guests are Dr. Tang Wei, Vice Chairperson of the University Council; Prof. Wan Lipeng, Deputy Dean of School of Management; Prof. Chen Houzhong, Director of Department of Public Utilities Management; and Associate Prof. Bi Jing, Director of Department of Financial Management.
The cases-to-be-analyzed mainly revolve around campus life, including the “Empty the Dishes” Action, Fire-Prevention on Campus, Operation of the Zhuying Supermarket and other four cases. The seven teams gave presentations respectively before being challenged by the judges.
Finally, the team called “the Tempest” won the first prize with their excellent case analysis on the operation of the Zhuying Supermarket, the “Challenge” team who analyzed the effects of “Empty the Dishes” Action came the second, and the “Trust-man” team who focused on Fire-Prevention came the third.
Wan Lipeng, Deputy Dean of School of Management, concluded that the cases were closely related to campus life and would play a positive role in optimizing various administrative activities. He also hoped that the students could carry forward the pragmatic principle in academic pursuit.
