Recently, the highest level of noble prize for literature and arts in Guangdong Province, the Lu Xun Literary Prize awarding was held in Guangzhou.
Prof. Chen Jiming, vice president of the Writers’ Association of Zhuhai, teacher from School of Art and Communication, won the prize via his novellas Beijing Monk. Mr. Tuo Zhen, head of Information Department, member of Standing-Committee of CPC Guangdong government, Mr. Lei Yulan, vice secretary of party committee, Mr. Lin Shaochun, vice governor of the Guangdong Province, Mr. Tang Guozhong, vice president of Guangdong CPPCC, and Mr. Gu Zuoyi, vice minister of Information Department of Guangdong Province attended the awarding ceremony.
It is said that all the entries are literatures published between 2009 and 2012, among which five novellas won prizes including Beijing Monk. This is the first time that Zhuhai writers won this prize.
