On Oct. 17th 2013, Professor Liz Grobsmith, Senior Adviser to NAU President for Strategic & International Initiatives, along with Mr. Daniel Palm, Director for China Initiatives visited BNUZ. Vice President Prof. Fu Ailan met with them and had warm discussion on potential cooperation between two universities. Present on the meeting also includes Associate Prof. Wang Yue, Vice Dean of School of Arts and Communication, Dr. Chao Chen, Department Head of Biotechnology, School of Engineering Technology, and Ms. Junqian Chen, Department Head of Product Design, School of Design.
On the meeting, Prof. FU, on behalf of BNUZ, expressed warm welcome to the guests’ visit, and then briefed them about the history and teaching philosophy of BNUZ. Prof. Liz Grobsmith also gave a detailed introduction about Northern Arizona University, including its development, schools and faculties, etc. The meeting is very successfully. Not only both sides have gained better understanding about each other’s teaching philosophy, but also reached initial agreement on cooperation opportunities. The meeting was concluded by exchanging gifts and university souvenirs as a symbol of sincerity and friendliness.
