Delegation of SMU Visited BNUZ for China-Canada Joint Program

The BNUZ-SMU Joint Program for B.A. Degree of Finance Major is about to open for the enrollment this September. To ensure the success of the program, recently, representatives from SMU visited our university in groups and held meeting with those involved respectively.

During their visit, Professor Fu Ailan, Associate President of BNUZ held talks with the guests, and expressed her hopes that both sides could strengthen communication so as to ensure a successful implementation of the program.

Dr. David Wicks, Academic Director of SMU Sobey’s Business School, and Ms. Lois Larson, B.A. Program Director of SMU Sobey’s Business School (Commerce) held talks with Prof. Lan Yuping, Dean Assistant of BNUZ International Business Faculty, Prof. Li Baojun, Director of Admission & Employment, and Prof. Zhou Zhiqiang, Director of Teaching Affairs. They had a detailed discussion on the course design, prospectus and enrollment arrangement, etc.

Ms. Patricia Bradshaw, Dean of SMU Sobey’s Business School and Mr. Darrell Rooney, Director of Finance also had a meeting with Dr. Ning Shaolin, Director of Finance on the tuition and other financial issues.

During the visit, all the guests from SMU were accommodated in our House for Young Faculty to get more familiar with the environment like classrooms, facilities and accommodation. They also visited the administration buildings and the classrooms in particular. They expressed their sincere hope for closer cooperation on this Program and more longingly to welcome the first group of students on BNUZ campus in this September.
