Professors from Buffalo State, The State University of New York Visited BNUZ

In 18th-22th December, visitors from Buffalo State, The State University of New York visited BNUZ. They are Dr. Mark Severson, Dean of School of Nature and Social Science, Professor Dr. Tao Tang and Professor Dr. Jason Knight from the Faculty of Geographic Planning , and Professor Dr. Linxia Jiang from Faculty of Industrial Art.

As receivers, Dr. Huang Wei, Dean of School of Real Estate, Mr. Zhang Yiping, the Assistant of Dean of School of Design, and Directors from the Office of International Exchange & Cooperation held an welcome conference for our visitors.

In the conference, Dr. Mark Severson introduced the current cooperation relationship between the Buffalo State, SUNY and BNUZ. After that, both sides exchanged their views on the 2+2 Dual-Degree Program and had a further discussion about the details of credit transfer issue. Both the School of Real Estate from BNUZ and SUNY, Buffalo State expressed their desire to carry out the 2+2 Dual-Degree Program as soon as possible, then a further discussion about specific details such as curricular arrangements will be discussed subsequently.

During the visit, academic lecture refers to Geographic Information and Digital Space Analysis and Realistic Naturalism of Aesthetics was given by Dr. Tao Tang and Dr. Jason Knight. After the lecture, attendances expressed their great interest in geographic information and their further comprehension towards western aesthetics.

Buffalo State, The State University of New York attached to the State University of New York, which is America or even the world’s biggest higher education system that boasts of over 100 years history. Buffalo State, SUNY is located in Buffalo City, New York State. There are 176 undergraduate courses such as Urban Planning, Art Education, etc in the university. Meanwhile it offers 60 master degrees. Each year, there are over ten thousand students applying BU, SUNY.
