BNUZ Delegation Visited Partner Universities in Australia

In order to further strengthen, develop and expand the collaborative relationship with partner universities in Australia, BNUZ delegation, including Prof. Wei Tang, Party Secretary of BNUZ, Prof. Ailan Fu, Vice President of International Engagement, Prof. Baosheng An, Dean of School of Engineering, Prof. Zhengsheng Yin, Dean of School of Design, Prof. Xiaohong Bian, Deputy Dean of International Business Faculty, Mr. Yiping Zhang, Assistant to Dean of Design, Dr. Pansy Gan, Director of International Office, and Ms. Promise Xu, Program Coordinator of International Office, visited Australia during May 6 – 15, 2012.

Group Meetings at QUT

The delegation visited seven Aussie universities this time, namely University of Western Australia (UWA), University of South Australia (UniSA), Monash University, University of Melbourne, RMIT, Curtin University Sydney and Queensland University of Technology (QUT). During the visits and meetings at the above universities, substantial discussions were conducted upon topics as teacher and student mobility program, joint development of undergraduate and postgraduate program, international Chinese studies program, summer program, etc.. Various collaborative intentions and partnership renewals had been fully achieved.

Apart from the official visits to universities, the delegation also met with BNUZ alumni in University of Melbourne, Monash University and SIBT. Students escaped from their busy study and work for meeting with the delegation. Prof. Fu announced the preparation of establishing the BNUZ-AU Alumni Association, and encouraged all students to keep contacts and share useful information and experience with each other. Catching-ups were warmly preceded, and the reflection of 2+2 program had been well indicated.
