The Dean of the Faculty of Education and Social Work from the University of Sydney: Professor Robert J Tierney visited BUNZ on June 19, 2012. The Vice President of BNUZ: Professor Ailan Fu, the director of International Office: Dr. Chunyan Gan, and Dr Changyun Kang from the Development Division met the visitor.
During the meeting, professor Ailan Fu welcomed Dean Robert J Tierney and expressed the willingness of establishing cooperation with the University of Sydney. Dean Robert Tierney showed his gratitude to the Vice President and mentioned the good and long history cooperation with the BNU, he also said in this May, the Chinese and Australian education research centre had just been established. Dean Robert’s purpose of visiting is to make cooperation with the BUNZ in the fields that interest both parties.
The TESOL master degree program, 2+2 program, short-term course project, internship project, and the international academic conferences and forums are also discussed during the meeting. Both parties agreed to start with one or two projects and make concrete cooperation on the base of memorandum of cooperation.
Dean Robert also toured the campus accompanied by the university’s staffs and he was amazed by the scenery of the campus.
