During 5th to 6th June, SIFE China Final was held in Beijing Conference Centre. 60 teams from the 6 competition divisions attended the final. This is the second time that BNUZ took part in SIFE. Via the superior projects and perfect display, BNUZ SIFE team won the second price.

In this contest, BNUZ SIFE team showed the project “Haoshi Duomo” which has been running for two years. This project combines fishermen, oyster shell powder processing factory and user of oyster shell powder. While exploiting commercial value of oyster shell and solving environmental pollution due to accumulation of oyster shell, this project helps to create economic profits, enhance people’s living standard and living quality.

The SIFE teams in the final are all equivalent in competitiveness and abilities. In the second round of the contest, BNUZ SIFE team competed with three traditional first-class teams, University of Nottingham-Ningbo SIFE team, Shantou University SIFE team and Guangdong University of Foreign Studies SIFE team. But BNUZ SIFE team tried their best and gained the 4th place. This hard-won victory brought so much joy that team members could not help crying. One of the team members already bought plane ticket to Zhuhai, while hearing the good news, he got back to the competition from the airport immediately.

The final competition was held on 6th June. The BNUZ SIFE team has won the second price while Xiamen University won the first price. BNUZ SIFE team members stick to this motto “Have brain of a merchant, hands of a farmer, and heart of a social entrepreneur”. It is believed that via such solid belief the BNUZ SIFE team will gain more successes in the future!
