Deputy Vice President of IUPUI visited BNUZ

In the afternoon of Oct.29, 2012, Dr. Gill Latz, deputy vice president of Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) visited BNUZ. Prof. Zhongkui WU, Ailan FU, vice presidents of BNUZ, along with Prof. Jiancheng WANG, dean of School of Education, Prof. Baocheng JIN, director of SONG Qingling Philanthropy Education Center, Dr. Chunyan GAN, director of Office of International Affairs, received the guests.

In the greeting meeting, Prof. Zhongkui WU, Prof. Jiancheng WANG and Prof. Baocheng JIN had in-depth communication with Dr. Gill Latz. Two sides exchanged idea on the prospect of cooperation in co-developing talent in the major of philanthropy, including the cooperation content, forms and so forth. Two sides extended their confidence on cooperation of this field.


After that, Prof. Ailan FU held talks with Dr. Gill Latz. Prof. FU gave a brief introduction to BNUZ’s basic information and achievement regarding international cooperation. She also hopes that two universities can cooperate in student exchange and faculty training. Dr. Gill Latz also introduced briefly about IUPUI. Dr. Latz expects cooperation with BNUZ in many areas and invites BNUZ leadership to visit IUPUI.

During the visit, Dr. Gill Latz toured around BNUZ accompanied by BNUZ faculty and praised the campus environment as well as the campus size.

IUPUI enrolls around 30,000 students. Among which, there are around 2,000 international students from over 140 countries. The faculty and student ratio is 1:16. It applies the small class teaching mode with 70% of the classes only have less than 30 students.
