On Oct.20, 2012 Yue Qian Cup Guangdong College Student Embedded Internet Design Contest was held at Guangdong University of Technology. This contest was organized by Computer Society of Guangdong Province, hosted by its SCM branch. On behalf of BNUZ, 4 teams from School of Information Technology (SIT) participated in this contest. After fierce competition, 1 team of BNUZ got the first prize and 3 teams got the third prize.

The contest aims to improve the innovation capability and teamwork of college students, as well as to strengthen students’ practical skills of embedded and networking technology and develop excellent talents for enterprises. After nearly six months of preparation and selection, around 70 teams from Guangdong higher education institutions entered into the finals. The contest is divided into two parts. On-site test and judges evaluation were held in the morning. In the afternoon outstanding teams were invited to do the defense.

The participation of this contest got great support from faculty of School of Information Technology. Under the guidance of professionals, participants strived to overcome technical difficulties and short of experiences and finally achieved great results.
