The 27th Annual Conference of ISoF & 2013 Summit Conference of Hot Issues in Chinese Franchising Held at BNUZ

From March 14 to March 16, 2013, the 27th Annual Conference of ISoF and 2013 Summit Conference of Hot Issues in Chinese Franchising welcomed its grand opening at International Center of BNUZ. The conference was hosted by International Society of Franchising (ISoF) and organized by School of Franchise Management. This is the first time for ISoF to hold annual meeting at Asia.

Prof. Andrew Terry from Sydney University, Australia, who is also a famous expert in franchising law, Prof. Rober Stassen, chairing president of ISoF as well as Prof. Marko Grünhagen, Mr. Bofei Yan and Prof. Ailan Fu, vice presidents of BNUZ, Prof. Wei Dai, vice BNUZ party secretary, Prof. Xuesi Wang, vice dean of School of Franchise Management participated in the conference. Apart from that, participants also include around 100 scholars in the franchising field and some representatives of business field from the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Canada, South Korea, Australia, Spain, the Netherlands, Greece, Poland and China.

ISoF is the most authoritative academic organizations in the field of global franchising. The annual conference, which has a wide range of international influence, will be an important platform for the exchange and promotion of the latest research results in the field of global franchise. The 27th Annual Conference held in Zhuhai is not only a timely response to the rapid development of the franchise market, but also an affirmation for BNUZ’s job in training franchising professionals and academic research as well as social service in the field.


The three-day summit was divided into seven themes, namely franchising as a model to enter the international market, marketing issues in franchising, inspirations from Asian countries in franchising, financial and valuation issues in franchising, social franchising, franchise organization problems, trust in franchising, new perspective and application of franchising. Scholars and guests participated had in-deepen exchange concerning the existed issues in franchising and the future trends. Chinese section was specially set up to focus on the hot issues in Chinese Franchising. During the meeting, participants gave wonderful speech and had nice interactions. The analysis has offered new ideas and new directions for solving many issues in franchising field.
