From February 22nd to 27th, 2013 training campus for college student leaders in social service groups and New Great Wall Self-Improvement Clubs was held in Beijing. BNUZ New Great Wall Self-Improvement Club, as one of the 15 colleges and universities from all of the country, was awarded the 2012 Outstanding Community.

This event was held by the Public Welfare Institute of China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation and Community Times. Nearly 130 Club leaders from more than 120 colleges and universities participated in the training campus. The president Weiming Luo and the vice president Changxi Lin from BNUZ New Great Wall Self-Improvement Club were invited either. Through expert lectures, project sharing, proficiency training, visiting and exchange forums, the purpose of this event is holding community education, broadening students’ horizons, and developing their abilities in contributing to the public welfare in China.

In spite of the prize of 2012 Outstanding Community, Xiaohua Chen from Academic Affairs in BNUZ was awarded the 2012 Excellent Instructor of New Great Wall Self-Improvement Clubs, student Weiming Luo was awarded the Excellent President, and Xi Lin was awarded the Excellent Organizer of Benefaction 100 Activities.
