In the morning of March 10th, BNUZ team Enactus “Kidney of the Earth” held activities planting water purification plants in Nazhou Village. Supporting by the local government, residents and children, the war of water protection has begun.

On the event day, members of the Enactus team came to Naxi River with more than 1000 hedychium. After loosing soil, participated children successfully planted them under the guidance of BNUZ students. The watercourse became green and energetic after nearly 4 hours’ hard work. Accompanied parents expressed that this kind of practical activities is a good and meaningful way to raise students’ awareness of protecting environment.

It is reported that the planted hedychium can play an important role in cleaning up water, and its fragrance can also purify the air along the watercourse. In order to keep the sustainable development of protecting water, the team has made a serious of products by hedychium in small factories. Through this way, the raised funds can be used to buy more seedlings, and the river plants can constantly update. Student Ye Huang who are in charge of this activity said that the similar events have been held several times inside the campus. If more people, including local residents and children, can join in extensively, then the protection work can go further.
