The opening ceremony of the fifth Club Festival and the second BNUZ Cultural Festival was held on 14th April. Hosted by Youth League Committee, it aims at enriching students’ extracurricular activities.

At 3 P. M. in the afternoon, opening ceremony of the fifth Club Festival was held in the theater of library. Mr. Wenguang Zhao, director of Publicity Department of Zhuhai municipal government, Mr. Guowang Zhu, president of the 7th Middle School of Zhuhai, Prof. Wei Dai, vice party secretary of BNUZ, Dr. Shuying Lu, director of Office of Public Relation & Media, Prof. Chunbo Li, Secretary of Youth League Committee of BNUZ have attended the opening ceremony.

Prof. Wei Dai said in his address that through 10 years’ development, clubs have become the brand of BNUZ; it is a crucial part of BNUZ culture, and an important means to cultivate students’ abilities.

There is dance, recitation, martial arts, instrument performances in the opening ceremony. Different performances have given audience different impressions.

At 7 P.M. the opening ceremony of the second BNUZ Cultural Festival was held in Liyun Building. Dr. Shuying Lu, director of Office of Public Relation & Media, Prof. Chunbo Li, Secretary of Youth League Committee of BNUZ and Ms. Yang Liu, vice Secretary of Youth League Committee of BNUZ have attended the opening ceremony.

In his address, Prof. Chunbo Li said that the culture festival was to provide students with an opportunity to enhance their abilities and to guide BNUZ’s education style.

Dreams start with culture. It is said that this culture festival was joint hosted by 15 schools and faculties of BNUZ. It contains several events involved with club activities and cross- disciplines activities. It also provides a platform for students to exchange ideas.
