Recently, student Qiao Wang from the International Business Faculty, who won the 3rd prize of the 18th “21st Century” National English Speaking Competition received BNUZ interview, sharing her success stories.
Qiao Wang has a rich experience in speech and debate tournaments, and served as bilingual host of large-scale events. She received the first prize of 6th Liyun Campus English Speech Competition, the champion of 2nd Campus Excellent English Speaker, and worked as interpreter of HOB Summer Program last year.

Even though she also felt nervous in this national competition after obtained those experiences, Qiao said that she would tried her best for this great opportunity. She likes the “21st Century” Competition as she grows up. Her favorite TV hosts Chenggang Rui and Xin Liu received good results in this competition either. Qiao expressed that, she not only gained friendship and inspire in this competition, but also learnt the shortcomings of herself. She would try and improve herself continuously in the future.

In talking about the future plan, Qiao has clearly aims. She wants to attend the national entrance exams of postgraduate study, and takes the career path of bilingual journalist in the field of media. She believes the importance of personal attitude. No matter doing anything, actions should be taken after nailing down the goals. Here she offered suggestions for the following students, which were always being prepared for uncertainties and problems. As there are many strong competitors, we ought to improve ourselves through continuously making efforts.

Qiao Wang influences everyone around by her confident and positive attitude, and her smiling is very impressive. She also showed great thanks to her supervisor Xuemei Wu. Under the careful guidance of Ms. Wu, she received more than the competition results. Qiao loves English, and will move on stably in her future lifetime.
