After a month of fierce competition, the 10th BNUZ Li Yun Cup Debate Contest completed successfully at the night of May 18th in Li Yun building. The two teams were from School of Foreign Languages and School of Franchise Management. Heated debate was carried out with the topic of people who accept or against the reality is truly brave.

The debate included several rounds, which were putting forward arguments, questioning, arguing, interrogating, free debating and concluding arguments. The School of Foreign Languages finally won the championship with 8 votes, and School of Franchise Management got the second prize with 7 votes. At the same time, student Zhao Nanyu from School of Foreign Languages was awarded the title of best debater.

The debate team from School of Foreign Languages has won several prizes these years. From 2011, they got the championship of the 9th University Fresh Man Debate Competition, the second prize of 10th University Fresh Man Debate Competition, and the 10th BNUZ Li Yun Cup Debate Contest. In gaining honors for their school, the student team has also advocated and implemented the debating spirit of independent thinking based on free wills.
