At 7:00 pm, May 19, 2013, The Ninth Poem Recitation Contest, which was organized by BNUZ Student Union and BNUZ Art Troup, started officially in the library small theater.This contest invited Prof. LI Bangyu with School of Arts and Communication(SAC), FU Jinye, director for Performance&Arts Education Department, SAC,Prof. YANG Runlu with School of Chinese, LI Jie with Performance&Arts Education Department, SAC and Mr. ZHU Yanan, host of Ningxia TV and graduate of BNUZ to be the judges. Mr. LI Chunbo, secretary of BNUZ Young League, LIU Yang, vice secretary of BNUZ Young League and representatives of student organizations attended this contest.

This contest took “Chinese Dream” as the theme. In the first round, players of 10 groups performed and received feedback from the judges. The poem they presented are mostly original or adapted, playing by the music and light and choreography, gives the audiences beautiful experiences. The second round requires players to recite Chinese classical poetry. Players combined ancient poetry with Guzheng, calligraphy or classical dance to display the profound Chinese culture. In the final round, players drew for their manuscript which were prepared by the contest worker and do the recitation right away, which greatly tested players’ understanding and comprehensive skills.

Then, prof. LI Bangyu, with School of Arts &Communication and the National Class One Performer made comments for the whole contest. After the selection of the judges, ZHENG Xing and ZHANG Yuting from School of Arts &Communication won the crown, ZHANG Cen, LIU Xiaozheng from Graduate School got the second prize and ZHANG Hanwen, LV Zeqi from School of Arts &Communication got the third prize. The contest fell its curtain in a lively atmosphere.
