Students from BNUZ Selected to the Next Round of the 13th Animation Academy Awards

In this golden autumn, the name list of the chosen works for the preliminary round of the 13th Animation Academy Awards of BFA was finally released. Two students from BNUZ School of Design were selected to the next round respectively, by their works namely Chuanji, and Stolen Child.

The Animation Academy Awards is a grant academic competition hosted by Animation School of BFA. Honored as the “Chinese Animated Short Film Oscar”, it is initiated in 2001, with a focus on the contest of original animated short films. This year’s competition received 3000 pieces of work in total, include works from France, Israel, New Zealand, Canada, Japan, Korea and so on. In China, Students from over 100 institutes participated in the competition, including students from Central Academy of Fine Arts, Tsinghua University, Sichuan Fine Arts Institute, etc.. The Animation Academy Awards has been developed from a regional activity to a renowned international academic platform. Meanwhile, it is consisted of not only competition, but also series of lectures, forums, exhibitions and other comprehensive activities.

On November 8th, the series of academic activities for the 13th Animation Academy Awards was solemnly launched. It is the first time for students from BNUZ to participate in this competition. The honor fully indicates the professional knowledge and innovation spirit of BNUZ’s students. It will be a good impetus for students to participate in more international competitions of such kinds.
