Vice President of Kyoto College of Graduate Studies for Informatics Visited BNUZ

On Nov. 26th, Prof. Yoichi Terashita, Vice President of Kyoto College of Graduate Studies for Informatics and Associate Prof. Liu Fei visited BNUZ. Prof. Fu Ailan, BNUZ’s Vice President, Prof. Peng Wanglu, Dean of School of Information Technology and Dr. Gan Chunyan, Director of International Affairs Office met with the guests in BNUZ International Center.

In the meeting, Prof. Fu Ailan, on behalf of BNUZ, expressed warm welcome to Prof. Yoichi Terashita and Associate Prof. Liu Fei for their visit and then she reviewed the exchanges between two universities since their last visit to BNUZ. Prof. Fu also expressed her hope to carry out feasible cooperative projects under the already-signed Cooperation Memorandum between two universities. Prof. Yoichi Terashita also expressed his appreciation for BNUZ’s warm reception and then he made a brief presentation about the international cooperation of Kyoto College of Graduate Studies for Informatics, especially those with the higher education institutions in China. Next, both sides had a heated discussion on the potential cooperative program and reached a basic agreement on programs such as 3+1+1 M.A. Program, Faculty Exchanges and Cooperative Research Projects. It is a mutual hope that the specific program could be launched as soon as possible.

Later that day, Prof. Yoichi Terashita and Associate Prof. Liu Fei also gave a lecture to the students of the School of Information Technology. They introduced the basic situation of current education system in Japan which aroused students’ great interest to the advanced IT industry in Japan and the related study abroad program.

During the visit, Prof. Yoichi Terashita, accompanied by Prof. Ma Weimin, Deputy Dean of School of Information Technology, also visited Zhuhai’s Southern Software Park.
