Captain of National Golf Team Lectures at BNUZ

In order to push the development of BNUZ Youth Golf Program and expand students’ international horizons, School of Sports Leisure invited Mr. Liang Wenchong, Captain of National Golf Team to BNUZ for lecture, which serves as a platform for students to have in-person experience of the specialized area and to learn the development of golf industry.

Mr. Liang Wenchong has been the most successful professional golfer in China so far and he is also the first person to rise as the top 10 Chinese golfer in the golf championship. In July 2013, Mr. Liang has become the 3rd ambassador of Working for Golf across the globe the 1st ambassador from Asia. Mr. Liang currently cooperated with BNUZ to publish a book titled Basic Course for Golf, which is the first time he cooperated with higher institutions on publishing textbooks for higher education. Particularly, in the chapter of Basic Techniques of Golf, he demonstrated the techniques in person.

In the lecture, Captain Liang highly praised the golf major opened in BNUZ School of Sports Leisure. He believes that such movement of bring golf into university’s classroom is the big step forward to make this stereotyped “Sports for Lords” popular among the civilian.

God helps those who help themselves. He thinks that there are geniuses but just a few. So no matter playing golf or studying, practice always makes progress. He said that “When the accumulation of knowledge and skills reaches a certain amount, the beauty of the subject will be unveiled right before your eyes.” At last, he hoped students could all find the beauty of golf.
