In the evening of April 23rd, hosted by Human Resources and Social Security Bureau of Zhuhai National Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone, the 3rd Internship & Job-hunting Contest (Intern recruitment for Zhuhai National Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone) was held at the Congress Hall in BNUZ International Center.
Judges of this contest include HR staff members of China’s Top 500 companies. And eight local companies of house-hold names in total offered intern positions in sales, marketing, human resources and technology, including China Unicom Zhuhai Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone Branch, Zhuhai Meizu Science and Technology Co., Ltd, Rossini Zhuhai company, Zhuhai Yuanguang Soft company, and Zhuhai Eulong Food Limited, etc. Ms. Situ Yulin, HR& Admin. Manager of Baoze Motor (Zhuhai) Co., Ltd was invited to be the career coach of Miss Job, offering comments and support for the contestants.
The contest received over 400 applications and after the CV screening, preliminary contest and semi-finals, 13 contestants from BNUZ and Beijing Institute of Technology, Zhuhai entered the finals.
The first section of the final contest is Career First Impression. Company representatives voted for each contestant and the top 8 contestants entered the next round. Through the Q&A section, company representatives made the final choice. At the end, 10 students got the internship offers from the 8 local famous companies.
After the contest, contestants cited it as a significant activity, where they are able to make friends with excellent peers, to spot shortcomings and most importantly to learn to present themselves. It is the host’s sincere hope that more students can participate into such kind of activities and accumulate experiences for the future job-hunting.
Mr. Luo Xiqiang, Deputy Secretary of Party Working Committee and Secretary of Discipline Inspection Commission of Zhuhai National Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone, Mr. Wu Shaoqiang, Deputy Director of Zhuhai Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, and representatives of BNUZ Office of Admission and Employment also attended the contest.
