Recently, the 5^th Beautiful Shenzhen Photography Contest was held in Shenzhen. Lai Li, BNUZ alumni of 2006 class of DFI Cooperation Program won the Annual Award with his work Light in Spring—Terminal 3. The Beautiful Shenzhen Photography Contest is annually held by Shenzhen Civilization Office, Shenzhen Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and Shenzhen Press Group. 12700 pieces of photography work participated in the contest. After careful selection by experts, 11 prizes were born.

In 2006, Lai Li was enrolled into BNUZ DFI Cooperation Program. After graduation in 2010, he joined Shenzhen Jingme Press as photographer. In the past years, he participated in lots of important live news coverage, including the drag racing case on May 26^th, the transition of Shenzhen Airport, and the railway construction of Xiamen and Shenzhen. He has been awarded many prizes. In the award ceremony of Shenzhen Photography Contest, the committee evaluated his work as an eyewitness of the important historic moment, which showed the value of a great photographer’s insistence.

When talking about the Light in Spring—Terminal 3, Lai Li said that it was one of the significant news in 2013 occurred in Shenzhen, and it fell well with the theme of humanistic and beautiful Shenzhen. The photo was shot from aerial view, which made Terminal 3 looks quiet but magnificent in the irradiation of the rising sun. Lai Li said he was lucky that his photo could stand out among all the works. In terms of lucky, he modestly expressed there were three reasons. The first comes from the empathy of most of the judges and audiences to the newly accomplished Shenzhen airport. The second is that he was so lucky to be allowed to take photos in the commend tower, which is the most suitable place, in communicating with the city transportation commission and the airport. The third lies in the unexpected sunny weather after days of rains.
