Dr. Keith Brown, vice president of Cape Breton University, visited BNUZ. Prof. FU Ailan, vice president of BNUZ, Prof. WAN Lipeng, dean of the School of Management, Prof. SHI Yuanmeng, vice dean of the School of Franchise, Dr. Pansy Gan, director of Office of International Exchange & Cooperation held a meeting with Dr. Keith Brown.

Firstly, Prof. FU, on behalf of BNUZ, welcomed Dr. Keith Brown and briefly introduced to the general situation of BNUZ and international exchange and cooperation. Dr. Keith Brown expressed his gratitude towards BNUZ’s warm welcome and talked about the current situation of CBU’s international cooperation and development, as well as demands. The two parties discussed the possible cooperation model and both agreed that cooperation can be begun on the short term exchange students and gradually extends to other fields. Meanwhile, the two sides held detailed discussion on articulation of hotel management, exhibition management and Business Administration, faculty cooperation and research, students exchange and summer program.

During his visit, Dr. Keith Brown hosted a speech titled Authenticity versus Commoditization-The Chinese Experience in the UNESCO Heritage Site of Lijiang. He analyzed the concept of protecting historical spots and culture based on the preservation and management of Lijiang, inspiring students on intermingling modern civilization and historical culture.
