President of University of Glamorgan visited BNUZ

On the morning of Oct. 24, Ms. Julie Lydon, the president of University of Glamorgan, along with Mr. Mark Cadwallader, the director of Strategic Development and Cooperation, visited BNUZ. Prof. Ailan Fu, vice president of BNUZ met the visitors and held a meeting. Those who participated in the meeting include Prof. Wanglu Peng, dean of School of Information Technology, Mr. Lindi Tang, vice dean of School of Real Estate, and Dr. Chunyan Gan, director of Office of International Affairs.

Prof. Ailan Fu expressed warmest welcome to the guests and gave a brief introduction about development of BNUZ. Both sides summed up successful experiences in the past and discussed on the cooperation in the near future. After that, both sides reached an agreement to cooperate in areas of teaching staff exchange and student exchange, etc. and signed a Letter of Intent.

After the meeting, Ms. Julie Lydon enjoyed a campus tour with great interest and praised the clean and beautiful campus environment.

Brief Introduction to University of Glamorgan

University of Glamorgan is a modern British university with outstanding teaching quality. Since its founding in 1913, it offers numerous courses and training as well as first-class academic equipments and learning environment. Among UoG there are 12 academic areas have been ranked as “Excellence” by The Higher Education Funding Council, Wales. The Business School ranks Top 25 of all British business schools and Department of English ranks the Top 8. Currently it has over 18,000 students, including over 2,000 overseas students, which makes up 11% of the total student number.
