1. Paper Recycling

On 1st March, 2012, advised by Youth League Committee of the university, Unilever Team of SIFE and Volunteer Association hosted a paper-recycle activity. Over 30 volunteers from different schools took part in this activity.

This paper-recycle activity was launched with the purpose of promoting cultural and ideological progress of the university, and offering a wider platform for volunteers. Through this activity, students’ awareness of protecting environment has been reinforced.

This activity will last till the end of April. Since last week, the Unilever Team has collected a lot of waste paper products, which is highly recommended by BNUZ-ers. The collections will be divided according to different categories and made into articles for daily use like pencil vases and tissue boxes. The money gained from these articles will be used in charity.

2Voluntary Cleaning

On the afternoon of 5th March, students live in Jinghua Building voluntarily cleaned the independent learning center.

Due to the humidity weather, the ground is wet and easily gets dirty when people walk by. Students have to make sure their shoes will not stain the floor while wiping it. Meanwhile, weeds grow quickly as spring comes. Pulling weeds become part of this voluntary activity. Students are divided into groups of three people; they identified the weeds first and then pull them out.
