IBF Student Was Invited to the Dialogue with Nobel Prize Winners

Invited by the Prof. Wei Zhao, president of University of Macau, Tengfei Li, the student from International Business Faculty, attended the Dialogue with Nobel Prize Winners hosted by University of Macau. During the dialogue, Tengfei Li got the opportunity to communicate face-to-face with Prof. Robert Alexander Mundell, Father of Euro, and winner of Nobel Prize of Economic Science.

University of Macau has invited 20 student representatives from Sun Yat-San University, Jinan University, BNUZ and other brother institutes. During the Q&A section, as the second questioner, Tengfei Li asked two questions, said What role should China play in the European debit crisis, and What kind of influence would this crisis have on the original European financial system. For the first question, Prof. Robert Alexander Mundell expressed that China should keep its pace in the reform and avoid the impact from western countries; and to support western countries according to its ability. For the second question, Prof. Robert Alexander Mundell said that this crisis is controllable; it is caused by the irrational social system of Europe. He suggested that examples of Stage Debt System be taken from America.

After the 30-minute face-to-face Q&A section, Prof. Robert Alexander Mundell gave a speech on the topic of How dose European Debit Crisis Influence East Asian and World Economy. His speech reviewed the development of the crisis, analyzed its causes and forecasted the trend of development of world finance.
