21st, and 22nd, February, 2012, delegates of Hong Kong College of Technology (HKCT) library, including Ms. Huizhen Liang, Curator of HKCT and four of her colleagues, they had well communicated with librarians in BNUZ.
During the two-day communication, HKCT librarians visited BNUZ library. Prof. Xiaofeng Zhang, curator of BNUZ library gave the guests detailed introduction to BNUZ library. Together with Prof. Zhang, heads of different divisions in BNUZ library held meetings with them. The two sides discussed about daily management, application and development of ALPHE, the management system of the library. In the end, the two sides both hope to have further communication with each other.
Introduction to Hong Kong College of Technology:
Hong Kong College of Technology (HKCT) was founded in 1957. It is a private chartable higher education institute. It was a night school for workers in Mong Kok before it became a college.
In 2001, HKCT successfully got the approval of Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications (HKCAAVQ). And it is one of the first colleges by the policy of the extend college degree. In 2009, HKCT rebuilt the vacant campus supplied by HK government into its independent campus. Currently, HKCT provides various course-choices, including associate degree, higher diploma and diploma.
