On the date of February 16, 2012, Delegation from HKU Faculty of Education Visited BNUZ, including Prof. Stephen Andrews, Dean of Education, Prof, Brendan Weekes, Associate Dean of Education, Dr. Ming Fai PANG, Associate Dean of Education, and Dr. Bruce Macfarlane, Associate Professor for Higher Education. Prof. Guangju Chen, President of BNUZ, Prof. Ailan Fu, Vice President, Prof. Wenhao Tao, Dean to School of Foreign Languages, Prof. Baocheng Jin, Associate Dean to School of Education, Prof. Changyun Kang from Development Division, together with Dr. Pansy Gan, Director of Office of International Affairs met the visitors, and a bilateral meeting was held between the both sides at the International Centre.
Prof. Guangju Chen firstly welcomed the HKU Delegation and presented a brief introduction to BNUZ. Later a deep discussion was conducted on the EdD Program in Education that would be established collaboratively by both sides. It is the third meeting in regards to the discussed program, and some detailed issues had been reviewed with certain results approached, i.e. potential market identification, recruitment orientation, program degree, student admissions, etc. Prof. Chen also expressed the willing of re-visiting HKU for further discussions about the issues needed to be confirmed later, and the intention of signing the cooperation agreement in the near future.
The HKU Delegation has toured BNUZ campus after the meeting, guided by a student. They all gave positive comments on the beautiful campus, sound facilities and friendly people at BNUZ.
