Captained by Prof. Lei Heong Iok, President of Instituto Politécnico de Macau (IPM), and Prof. Sobrinho Teixeira, President of Instituto Politécnico de Bragança (IPB), delegations from IPM and IPB visited BNUZ on April 17, 2012. Visiting guests include: Prof. Luís S. Pais, Vice-President of IPB, Prof. Choi Wai Hao, Director of School of Languages and Translation of IPM, Dr. Lei Ngan Lin, Head of Academic Affairs Department, and Ms. Dina Martins, Head of Public Relations Office from IPM. Prof. Ellen Fu, Vice-President of BNUZ, Prof. Mingyuan Zhang, Dean of School of Chinese, Prof. Wenhao Tao, Dean of School of Foreign Languages, and Dr. Pansy Gan, Director of Office of International Affairs greeting all visitors at the International Centre.

Later, a meeting was held at the 3rd Conference Room between delegations from IPM and BNUZ. Prof. Ellen Fu, Prof. Zhiqiang Zhou, Head of Academic Division, Mr. Shaolin Ning, Director of Office of Teaching Affairs, Ms. Shuying Lu, Director of Office of Public Relations & Media, and Ms. Wenting Xie, Deputy Dean of School of Foreign Languages participated in the meeting.
Prof. Fu extended her warm welcome to the delegations, and presented a brief review of the collaboration between two institutions. She indicated that the cooperation between IPM and BNUZ is friendly and full of effectiveness, and she also mentioned the essential bridge-role that Prof. Lei Heong Iok has being played during the promotion of the collaboration between IP Institutions and BNUZ. Then both parties had conducted substantial communication about further promote the cooperative projects between IP Institutions and BNUZ in terms of Portuguese language teaching and research, teacher and student exchange, and other relevant programs.

At the end, Prof. Lei Heong Iok donated 100 sets of Portuguese Language Speaking series of textbooks to BNUZ as a gift, which had presented a perfect ending for the meeting.

At the same time, Prof. Mingyuan Zhang, Prof. Wenhao Tao, and Dr. Pansy Gan had processed another meeting with IPB Delegation at the 4th Conference Room. Apart from the existing cooperative program of exchanging students between two institutions, both parties further discussed details about jointly establishment of the Centre for Portuguese-Chinese Studies, X+Chinese Dual Degree Program, 1+3X Degree Program, etc. The discussion lasted for about three hours and finalised with a promised and fruitful ending.
