Prof. Hanjie Zhao, president of National Ilan University(NIU), and Mr. Weiren Liu, assistant to President Zhao, visited BNUZ on 31st, May 2012. Prof. Ailan Fu, vice president of BNUZ, Prof. Wanglu Peng, dean of School of Information Technology, Prof. Jiang Hu, dean of School of Real Estate, Prof. Baosheng An, dean of School of Engineering Technology, Dr. Chao Chen, Director of Biotechnology, Prof. Chunyan Gan, director of Office of International Affairs received the visitor and held the meeting at the International Center.

During the meeting, on behalf of BNUZ, President Fu welcomed the visitors and gave a brief introduction to BNUZ, and reviewed cooperative programs between the two sides. Both sides further discussed cooperation in bio-mechatronics and precision agriculture, faculty & student exchange and cooperation in scientific research in majors of biotechnology, computer science and Resource Environment & Urban Planning Management. Both parties agreed to reinforce communication and visiting, aims at seeking more cooperation. Prof. Zhao welcomes BNUZ-ers to NIU.

During their visit, Dr. Wei Dai, Vice Secretary of BNUZ held a meeting with Prof. Zhao. Also, Dr. Dai had attended the 86th anniversary of NIU when he visited Taiwan in May this year.

During their visit to BNUZ, visitors also toured the campus and laboratories of School of Engineering Technology, and expressed their amazement for BNUZ’s breathtaking natural views and refine teaching facilities.

Introduction to NIU:

Founded in March 1926, National Ilan University is a public university in Ilan Town. NIU marked the highlight of qualified promotion with projects to expedite high-level research and teaching capability with local government; it attaches great importance to academic research in fields of biological resources, engineering, motor information and humanistic management. And NIU provides some cross–fields courses, such as biotechnology, green science and technology, digital contents, leisure industry management and nanotechnology. These courses are composed with teaching sections and abundant project implementing, aims at providing students with opportunity to learn knowledge and master skills as well.
