The release of Report on Current Sinuation of China Philanthropy Professionals and China Philanthropy Talent Development Forum was held at International Center of BNUZ on March 18. The forum was co-hosted by BNUZ Soong Ching Ling Education Center on Philanthropy and Shanghai Soong Ching Ling Foundation, Tsinghua University NGO Institute and foundation center Website and organized by BNUZ Soong Ching Ling Education Center on Philanthropy. Around 100 scholars and representatives from philanthropy field as well as BNUZ’s first cohort of Philanthropy class students participated in the forum. Mr. LIU Jiawen, vice major of Zhuhai also attended the forum upon invitation and extended congratulations for the opening of the forum.

One of the key section of this forum is to release Report on Current Sinuation of China Philanthropy Professionals. This report includes over 40,000 words, covering research on the development of China’s philanthropy talents, management personnel competency at commonweal organizations, career satisfaction of philanthropy professionals at different areas and so forth. This report is of great importance and significance for China’s philanthropy development and social reform.

In the forum, representatives of academic field, business filed as well as government all shared their opinions about the major topics in the report. Prof. CHEN Guangju, president of BNUZ, introduced basic information of BNUZ Soong Ching Ling Education Center on Philanthropy, which is the first higher education level philanthropy major development institute at China. Prof. WU Zongkui, vice president of BNUZ and vice secretary-general of BNUZ Soong Ching Ling Education Center on Philanthropy, held fierce discussion with other participants regarding how to understand the field and the professional, how to balance moral goals and career goals etc. Mr. LU Ping, the president of Shanghai Soong Ching Ling Foundation, believes that China’s philanthropy has great potentials. Apart from that, he also shared some positive news in the field, which is a great boost for the professionals.

This forum discussed a lot about the training goals and requirements as well as methods for philanthropy talents development, which has posted great influence for healthy development of China’s philanthropy talent training.
