Youth Teachers Social Practice Summer Delegation of 7 members from Beijing Normal University, Beijing Campus came to BNU, Zhuhai Campus to give lectures, make academic exchanges and carry out researches from July 2nd to 5th. Aiming to further familiarize youth teachers with national conditions, broaden their horizons and push forward the integration of theory and practice thus further enhancing their ideological, political and professional quality, this visit better facilitated the teaching in the 3rd semester. During the visit, the delegation has delivered a series of lectures.
Tang Wei, Party Secretary of BNUZ, while meeting with the delegation, said that this is the first time to organize youth teachers from Beijing Campus to visit Zhuhai Campus. Through communication and exchanges, the mutual understanding and the cooperation on teaching and researching have been significantly enhanced. He also suggested that we should strengthen the communication among schools and departments in both campuses so as to enhance youth teachers’ teaching and researching ability and realize the cooperation on teaching and researching on a wider range.
Associate Prof. Zhang Li, Ph.D. Supervisor in the School of Life Sciences of BNU, Beijing Campus, on the invitation of the Centre of Liberal Arts, delivered a lecture titled The Influences of Environmental Policies on the Protection of the Endangered Species at the Natural Science Leading Forum. Prof. Mao Xianqiang, Ph.D. Supervisor in the School of Environment, made an introduction of the History of the Environmental Protection, which revealed the severity of the environmental pollution as well as the importance and urgency of protecting the environment. Associate Prof. Liang Yingxiu, Vice President of the School of Law, gave a lecture titled the Public Opinions in Judicial Adjudication to the students from the School of Government and Law of Zhuhai Campus. Dr. He Haoran, Lecturer in the School of Economics and Business Administration, addressed on the experimental economics to the students from the School of Management of Zhuhai Campus. Prof. Li Xing, Ph.D. Supervisor in the School of Political Science and International Studies, briefed on the basic features of the current international situation and shared his thoughts on the current hot topics such as China-US, China-Japan and China-Russia relations in his speech titled International Situation and Chinese Foreign Policy at the Human Science Leading Forum hosted by the Centre of Liberal Arts.
During this visit, the delegation also gained a new insight towards Zhuhai’s natural ecology as well as the economic and cultural development through the field study in Mangrove Natural Reserve on Qi’ao Island, Hengqin New District, University of Macau, Hengqin Campus, and Gao Langgang Economic District.
