In the afternoon of June 17,2013, Dr. Martin Schimpf, vice president and provost of Boise State University, Ms. Tan Yuan and Ms. Wang Fang with the China Office of Boise State University visited BNUZ. Prof. Zhu Meilin, head of Administration Division, Prof.An Baosheng,dean of School of Engineering Technology, Associate Prof. Wang Yue, vice dean of School of Art and Communication, Dr. Gan Chunyan, director of Office of International Affairs received the guests in the meeting room of fourth floor at International Center.

On behalf of BNUZ, Prof. Zhu Meilin welcomed the visit of Boise State University delegation and afterwards introduced the basic information of BNUZ. Dr. Martin Schimpf gave a brief introduction about Boise State University and also expressed the wish to cooperation with BNUZ. Then two sides held discussion about interested cooperation fields.

After the meeting, Boise State University delegation visited School of Engineering Technology and School of Art and Communication. During the visit,Boise State University delegates introduced the development and discipline advantages of Boise State University to the presented BNUZ faculty and held fruitful discussion about specific program cooperation.

The guests also visited BNUZ’s campus and related labs and praised the nice natural environment and good teaching and experimental equipment.

Boise State University is a university located in Boise, the capital city of Idaho and the biggest city in the Idaho state. It was established in year 1932 as a junior college by the Catholic Church. In year 1974, it formally became the third university in Idaho state. It offers 201 programs in 190 research fields, from certification level to doctor level. It is now the higher educational institution with highest enrollment rate in the Idaho state. The university has College of Social Sciences and Public Affairs, College of Arts and Sciences, College of Business and Economics, College of Education, College of Engineering etc.
