In the afternoon of Dec. 1st, the 13th BNUZ-UIC Kyudo Contest was held in BNUZ Truth-Seeking Kyudo Dojo in celebration of the 35th anniversary of Sino-Japan Peace and Friendship Treaty. Contestants from both BNUZ and UIC presented a visual feast for the audience. Mr. Ito, from Japanese Embassy in Guangzhou, was also invited to watch the contest. Besides, Mr. Mabashi, Mr. Akami, Ms. Shibuya, Ms. Sato from Japanese Kyudo Association together with Hu Zhenhuan and Feng Yiji from Shenzhen Kyudo Association performed the opening ritual.


According to information, every day the contestant archers kept practicing from 6:00 am to 10 pm. And many of them went to Dojo whenever they got time. It is in Dojo that the students not only learned how to hit the target but also acquired daily etiquette.

After fierce competition, UIC won this year’s contest with a margin of 5 shots. And Ye Ying from BNUZ got the 5th prize.
