In the afternoon of April 11th, the 2014 Employment Meeting was held at BNUZ. The meeting comprehensively summed up the employment work in 2013, awarded the Advanced Collectives and Advanced Individual in 2013’s employment work, arranged the 2014 employment plan and signed the responsibility statement of 2014 graduates’ employment target.

Prof. Tu Qingyun, President of BNUZ, comprehensively reviewed the employment work in 2013 and made important instructions on 2014 employment work plan. President Tu said that the employment results of 2013 is very pleasant. The initial employment rate of 2013 graduates reached 98.25%, which is higher than the provincial average of 9.32% and the rate of signing contracts reached 52.32%, which ranks the top of the colleges and institutions of the same kinds. And this year, our university won the honorable title of “2012-2013 National Graduates Employment Model”, which is another national honor in terms of excellent employment work after the honorary title of “Advanced Institution of Pre-recruitment Campaign for Recent College Graduates” we won in 2012. All these honors are the results of perfecting employment mechanism, strengthening employment and entrepreneurship and optimizing the platform of employment guidance and services.

During the meeting, the representatives of the Advanced Collectives and Advanced Individuals gave speeches respectively on experience of excellent employment work. Deans of the School of Applied Mathematics, the School of Information Technology and the School of Franchise Management shared their experience on employment work from the perspective of “Love, Responsibility, Truth, Carefulness”, “right place, at the right time with the right company” and “Modest learning with solid work”, which gave other meeting participants many inspirations.

Prof. Fu Ailan, Vice President of BNUZ, also made deployment for the 2014 graduates employment work. She stressed that the first and foremost work of this year’s employment work is to clarify the target; second to move forward unswervingly the following five tasks: (1) further enhance the employment quality and satisfaction with the guaranty of the employment rate level; (2) continue to provide good guidance and services to the graduates, especially the employment of the students from poor families; (3) carry out the professional training work; (4) promote the building of the informationization work of the employment and intensify the efforts on the feedback collection from the graduates and website-job-hunting service; (5) strengthen the construction of the employment and entrepreneurship base.

Those attended the meeting also include heads of the university, directors of all administrative offices and liberal arts education center, deans of all schools, instructors and teachers of the 2014 graduates as well as the student representatives.
