In the evening of May 23^rd, the inaugural ceremony of Zhuhai University Students’ Psychological Health Education and Consulting Center was held in BNUZ International Center.

As the main venue of 2014 National University Students’ Psychological Health Them Month hosted by Guangdong University Students’ Psychological Health Education Specialist Committee (GUSPHESC), BNUZ welcomed faculties and students from six universities in Zhuhai with exhibitions revolving about psychological health. A delegation of 9 specialists and experts led by Prof. Qiu Hongzhong and Prof. Xu Guobin, Director and Deputy Director of GUSPHESC attended the ceremony with the company of Dr. Dai Wei, Deputy Secretary of BNUZ Party Committee.

Prof. Qiu Hongzhong spoke highly about the psychological health education in BNUZ and expressed high expectations for more excellent work in the future. Then Mr. Jiang Cunyu read the Decisions of Establishing Guangdong University Students’ Psychological Health Education and Consulting Center and made deployment of future work. Dr. Dai Wei, on behalf of BNUZ, expressed his sincere thanks for the recognition and guidance of BNUZ’s psychological health education.

In the exhibition section, activities directed and performed solely by BNUZ students became the highlight of day. In addition, students from other five universities also presented their findings and achievements in the psychological health education in various forms.

It’s reported that Guangdong Province Department of Education will set up 7 working centers for university students’ psychological health education and consulting, which serves as an innovative and cooperative means to push forward the psychological health education, to better integrate resources and enhance the quality of work. In the next step, BNUZ will work as the regional center of radiation with the target of cooperation, sharing and co-growth, carrying out its due responsibilities and making more contributions to Zhuhai University Students’ Psychological Health Education and Consulting work.
