TV Anchor from Canadian Global Television Network Gives Lecture at BNUZ

On May 26th and 28th, Ms. Crytasl, Anchor of Canadian Global Television Network gave two lectures on the BNUZ Forum of Art and Communication, which unveiled the academic events of the Forum and received warm response.

Topics of the two lectures are Canadian Television :What makes a compelling news story and A tour of Canadas Newest TV Studio: How a Canadian Morning News program is made. With the aid of real photos of front-stage and back-stage and local news videos, Crystasl analyzed the process of news shooting, editing, and broadcasting. Also she explained the back-stage work like how to select and edit materials by lots of cases and unveiled the real life of news journalists and the happy and bitter story in news work. Through these two lectures, students learned about the working style of Canadian TV news and broadened their horizons.

It’s reported that in order to cultivate academic atmosphere, broaden students’ horizons and extend class teaching, School of Art and Communication initiates the “Forum of Art and Communication”, which will invite famous professors and industrial leaders and be held once per month. This forum will also be included into the teaching plan of 2013 and 2014 class as the customized elective course with 2 credits. Students are required to attend 16 lectures in four years so as to get the credits.
