Graduation Experience Sharing Session Held by School of Art

On the evening of 6th June, the graduation experience sharing session of class of 2015 was held by Career Development Association of School of Art in Room 103 Lize Building . Five excellent graduates were invited to share their experience with juniors.

Xu Zhi'wen, who was accepted by the University of Pittsburgh in US, talked about how to prepare for studying aboard from three aspects: exam preparation, university choice, and materials preparation. Accepted by University College London, Li Bo'ya shared her personal experience of studying abroad, and emphasized on the importance of “personal statement” and “the letter of recommandation” in applying for western universities. Li An'jie, was taken by East China Normal University, focused on - local, major and school – three aspects in a session; she believed that the vital factor for successful application was “practice”: it is important to have materials ready and to rehearse before exam.

As for job hunting, a Chinese teacher from Erwairen elementary school in Nanshan, Shenzhen, named Peng Fei'yang, shared his own working experiences. As himself has gone through many job interviews in several different cities, he encouraged students not to be afraid of attempts and practices. Yang xin, who has passed provincial civil service exam(CSE), gave a lecture about the basic procedures of CSE and the details which are easily ignored by people in formal interviews.

During the Q&A section, students consulted the five speakers with their concerns of future; speakers listened patiently and provided their valuable experiences and suggestions as well as sincere wishes.
