Recently, Ms. Xiaofen Xie, a graduate from School of Design, won the special prize in 2015 China International Competition for Bag Design. Her graduation design work of leather series brought her an award of 50,000RMB and the Excellent Advisor title to her instructor, Ms. Junqian Chen.

The leather series is the individual interpretation of the design theory in Jewish Museum by Daniel Libeskind and that certain period of history, and is also the typical case of emotionalized design. In order to give rise to customers’ emotional resonance, she tried to adopt metaphor and combine the aesthetic performance, symbolization and feeling characteristics altogether.

China International Competition for Bag Design has been held by China Leather Association successfully for 15 years. This competition makes great contribution to national designers’ cultivation and the branding of leather bag in China. 2015 China International Competition for Bag Design received 1249 works in total, coming from 31 universities, 117 corporations and individuals. The jury committee is composed of many famous professors and veterans.
