Students from School of IT Achieve Great Results in 2011 Academic Competitions

In 2011, students from School of Information Technology (SIT) participated actively in academic competitions of different levels and got great results. As recorded, up to Dec. 27, 2011, there are 106 students got 46 prizes in different competitions, including 8 students got 4 national-level prizes, 78 students got 31 provincial-level prizes and 20 students got 11 municipal-level prizes. Participants including senior students that are experienced in those competitions and freshmen that get talent for their major, who are from major of Computer Science and Technology, Software Engineering, Electronic Information Science & Technology.


School of Information Technology places great emphasis on applying knowledge to practice and strives to develop practical talents. In 2011, a significant program on teaching reform and teaching achievement, organized by School of Information Technology, was proved by Guangdong Provincial Government. The School develops several intern bases for the students and encourages them to joint their teacher’s research projects. Each year the School will hold campus-level brand activity: “IT Festival”, “SIT Student Scientific Achievement Conference” as well as a series of freshman competitions. Strictly following BNUZ related regulations, SIT supports its students to attend various competitions with specific funds.

It is with the help of a group of excellent and supportive faculty members that SIT students can harvest with so many rewards. All achievements belong to the past though, in the coming New Year, SIT will stand upon the current achievement and build up a bigger stage for their students!
