BNUZ Arts Troupe Won the First Prize in the 3rd National “Charm Campus” Chorus Festival

In order to extend the campus cultural communication between mainland and Hong Kong, and to promote the innovation at campus art education, the 3rd National “Charm Campus” Chorus Festival was held at Hong Kong Youth Square. This festival was hosted by Hong Kong Parent Teacher Association, World Music and Dance Professional Accreditation Association, co-sponsored by China National Radio, China Broadcasting Network, Tencent Education. After fierce competition, group made up by six students selected from BNUZ Arts Troupe won the first prize; BNUZ won the "art education advanced unit" honorary title. Instructor Yang Liu obtained honorary title of "art education advanced worker".

This chorus festival enjoys great judge lineup, including many famous experts and professors at this field such as Mr. Yubin Tian, director-general of Chinese Chorus Association, director of Chinese Musicians Association. The judge panel also wrote down professional evaluation and guidance for all teams participating in the festival. Chinese Art News, Music Weekly, China Network Television, China Radio International, China Art Education and other key national news media and mainstream websites delivered related news. CCTV Music Channel aired the video of this festival.

BNUZ Arts Troupe devoted to prepare for this festival since November of last year. Finally six students were selected to participate in this festival. They are Song Liang, Weihong Ye, Shu Liu, Yi Zhu, Haojun Li, and Dongyu Liu. They were accompanied with the piano by Qiong Jia. Months of devotion and wonderful performance help the team standing out among 16 final teams and won the honor for our university.
