Professor Stuart Bartholomew from Arts Institute at Bournemouth, the UK Visited BNUZ

On 14th April, Prof. Stuart Bartholomew, Vice-Chancellor of Arts Institute at Bournemouth came to visit BNUZ. Prof. Qingyun TU, President of BNUZ received the guest at BUNZ International Center. Dr.Pansy Gan, Director of International Exchange & Cooperation, and Yiping Zhang, Dean Assistant of School of Design, held a discussion.

In the meeting, Dr.Pansy Gan expressed a warm welcome for Prof.Bartholomew, and proceeded a brief review about the cooperation between both universities. Prof. Bartholomew thanked us for our welcome and reception, and introduced the basic situation of Arts Institute at Bournemouth. He said this visit was mainly to make a comprehensive summary of two universities’ cooperation, hoping to explore more areas of cooperation with BNUZ in the future and further to consolidate the basic cooperation between two universities. Both sides conducted a depth discussion about the development and operation of 2+3 Program and Summer Program.

During the visit,Prof.Bartholomew also visited our campus and gave a high appraisal of the beautiful environment and humanistic atmosphere of BNUZ.

Arts Institute at Bournemouth is one of the important professional colleges in the UK, setting up courses of Art, Design and Media. It was built in 1883 with formerly named Bournemouth and Poole College of Art and Design. It won prizes of international reputation for its high teaching quality. In the past three consecutive years, it was rated as the highest grade in assessment of Quality Assurance Agency for High Education(QQA).Not only has its quality assurance system won a wide praise from professionals, but also the academic quality has been recognized by the majority of students. According to the result of National Student Survey last year, Arts Institute at Bournemouth ranked first in the top ten professional colleges and universities of Art, Design and Media in the UK.
