BNUZ First Send Exchange Students to IPB and SMU

Sept. 2012, BNUZ first sent exchange students to Portugal and Canada. Jiamin Liao from School of Chinese, Rui Xue from School of Engineering Technology and Yuli Zhang from School of Real Easte are sent to IPB in Portugal; meanwhile, Yunyan Tian from International Business Faculty is sent to SMU in Canada.

Students in IPB, apart from learning the chosen courses, they can take the Portuguese course for free. Besides, a Chinese Language and Culture Centre was jointly established by BNUZ and IPB, and it provides internship opportunity for BNUZ students. Jiamin Liao from School of Chinese put her major theories into practice, and becomes T.A. for Dr. Can Guo, to teach local students Chinese.

After two months experiencing, students already got used to the local life and tradition. During these two months, great progress has been made to students’ language and communication abilities, and they also become friends with exchange students from other countries and regions.

This semester, IPB also sent three students to our university; they study in International Business Faculty, taking the English-teaching courses. Teachers from IBF discussed with students for several times to know their learning situation. School of Chinese set up Chinese course for exchange students and also arranges language partners for them.

There are 4 German students, 3 Portugal students and 3 Japanese students studying in BNUZ this semester; while BNUZ sent 21 students to Taiwan, 5 to Japan, 3 to Portugal and 1 to Canada. Before the Mid-autumn festival, Office of international Affairs held a tea talk with exchange students, and Dr. Pansy, director of Office of International Affairs talked with them to know their life in BNUZ.

Up till now, BNUZ sent 106 exchange students to other universities and received 98 exchange students.
